Registering for the ABA/Leica Young Birder of the Year 2008 Contest

To register for the 2008 contest, download an Acrobat PDF registration form from these pages. 

• If you are a first time participant, please use the "First Time" registration form
• If you participated last year, please use the "Repeat" registration form

You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to read, save, or print the PDF form. If you are unable to download the forms, please email your mailing address to edcon@aba.org and request a registration form.

The basic registration fee is $28 for which you will receive the National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America, ABA Trip List, ABA Birder's Field Notebook, and the ABA Birder's Field Notebook Manual. Repeat participant registration fee is $20. (Receive ABA Field Notebook and ABA Trip List.) Additional fees may be required for international participants due to the costs of shipping contest materials (including the return of participant materials). Please check with the ABA Education office.

Because we communicate with participants through the pages of A Bird's-Eye View, you need to be a student member of the ABA or subscribe to A Bird's-Eye View in order to take part in the competition. The subscription rate for A Bird's-Eye View is $10 a year for six issues. The fee for a USA student membership is $25 and for Canadian or International students the fee is $35 (including GST in Canada). For full details of membership benefits click here.
