Century Club level donors are very special to ABA. Your donations over and above your membership dues give us the opportunity to develop education and conservation programs, and publications, to help you get more from their birding. Moreover, these are tax-deductible donations.
The benefits of ABA membership, such as your monthly newsletter Winging It, bimonthly magazine Birding, yearly Birder's Resource Guide, and other publications and services, more or less balance the income we receive from your normal ABA membership dues.
To undertake those other mission-driven activities that members ask us to initiate, specifically birder education and bird conservation programs, and new publications, requires extra sources of income. Donations from members and friends represent the most significant source of income for these programs.
Century Club recognition is awarded each calendar year to donors who give single or cumulative gifts of $100 or more between October of one year and December of the following year. This 15-month donation period is designed to accommodate our many members that contribute in the year-end appeal or who tie their donation to an October or December membership renewal cycle. This means that any donation given in October through December will be counted for Century Club status for BOTH the current calendar year AND the next calendar year.
Century Club level donors are afforded the opportunity to participate in very special donor tours throughout the U.S. and the world, special receptions and field trips at conventions, and more.
