CENTURY CLUB BENEFITSThe Century Club was first proposed in 1979 by Norm Mellor, an ABA Life Member who wanted to do more. He wrote, "The ABA has been, is, and will undoubtedly continue to be heavily dependent on the volunteer efforts of a lot of dedicated birding nuts. For many of us, it is time to put our money where our mouth is — and start to support increased quality and financial security for our club to make ABA the success in the bank that it is in the field." At that time, recognition in the Century Club required a $100 donation to ABA. Today Century Club refers to five "giving levels" for members or friends contributing $100 or more beyond dues (ABA membership is additional).
What is the difference between a regular ABA Membership and Century Club? Century Club is a special group of stakeholders and friends whose contributions improve the quality of ABA publications and allow the ABA to keep our programs in education and conservation healthy and responsive to our members' needs. In short, Century Club level donors allow ABA to strive for an "extra" margin of excellence in everything we do. Join the Century Club today and ensure ABA's future in the 21st century and beyond by making a tax-deductible donation of $100 or more. As a of Century Club level donor, you are entitled to opportunities reserved only for the Century Club. All gifts to ABA are tax deductible since ABA is a registered not-for-profit organization under Sec. 501(c)3 of the IRS code. Giving Levels
Gift Memberships Gift Century Club recognition can be arranged for any level. We send a letter to the gift giver and the recipient. |
